Land registration (tinglysing) is a public registration of rights and obligations related to real estate in the land register, which is maintained by the Norwegian Mapping Authority. Land registration ensures legal protection of these, and the registered information becomes visible to everyone. Field has expert expertise in property law and land registration processes, and assists a wide range of clients with land registration.

We at Field have extensive experience with land registration processes, and can assist with registering various rights related to a property. This could be a right of pre-emption, right of use to a parking space, road-use rights, tenancy rights, etc., in another person's property.
What can be registered?
Deed – The document that transfers a property from seller to buyer

Lease agreements – Leasehold rights in buildings or land
Sectioning decisions – Approved sectioning decisions are registered by the municipality.
Pre-emptive rights – Agreements that give a person the right to purchase the property before it is offered to others
